Our Vision
Growing Seed Ministries exists to create space for the quiet, faithful work of God in the lives of teenagers and families. We believe spiritual growth is rarely rushed and never forced. Like the seed in Jesus’ parable, the gospel does its work over time—often beneath the surface, often unnoticed, but always alive with promise. At the center of our ministry is the conviction that God is the Good Sower, the one who plants the seed of His Kingdom. Growth belongs to Him.
Our role is not to produce results or control outcomes. Instead, we seek to help prepare the soil—creating environments where trust, honesty, and grace can take root so that when the Kingdom grows, it produces fruit. We do this by walking patiently with families and teenagers, trusting that faithful presence allows the Spirit to do what no program or strategy ever could.
We come alongside people through relational discipleship shaped by the rhythms of everyday life. This means showing up consistently, listening carefully, and learning together how faith takes shape amid work, school, relationships, doubt, and joy. We trust Jesus’ promise that where two or three are gathered, He is present among us, and we believe transformation often happens in those small, ordinary moments of shared life. Rather than offering quick answers or striving for visible outcomes, we focus on accompaniment—walking together and trusting God to bring growth in His time and in His way.
Availability is central to this work. In a culture defined by hurry and constant distraction, we intentionally create margin in our own lives so we can say yes when people need care, guidance, or simply someone who will listen. Availability is not an add-on to our ministry; it is one of the primary ways we tend the soil, making room for trust and deeper connection to grow.
Hospitality is another essential expression of this calling. We open our home as a place where people are welcomed without expectation or performance. Around shared meals, conversation, laughter, and prayer, relationships deepen and defenses soften. These ordinary moments become sacred ground, places where people can rest, be known, and experience the grace of God in tangible ways.
In addition, we will soon be offering retreats and teaching weekends that invite individuals and families to step away from the noise of daily life. Rooted in the Gospel of Mark and the parables of Jesus, these gatherings are intentionally spacious rather than crowded with activity. We emphasize rest, reflection, Scripture, and unhurried conversation—trusting that when people are given time and space, the Spirit prepares the soil for growth that bears lasting fruit.
At every level, Growing Seed Ministries is shaped by a simple belief: God plants the seed. We simply tend the soil. God brings the growth. Our hope is not in our effort, but in the faithfulness of the Good Sower and the life already present in the seed of His Kingdom.
